Foil Surprises

When the Wee One came into the learning room recently, she found a basket with tin foil surprises waiting for her - Hello Christmas morning.  She spent the next 45 minutes opening and having me re-wrap the shapes.

After she opened a shaped, I would say, "This is a ____."

She moved from the floor to the table and back to the floor with  her basket.

The Wee One practiced crumpling, ripping, waving, and wrapping her own shapes when she became tired of opening her tin foil shapes.

  1. Cool idea! I wonder if my little one would want to put the foil in her mouth like she does so many other things...

  2. She didn't put the foil in her mouth, but she did the shapes. She was more interested in how the foil sounded and crumpled.

  3. Such a fun idea! I think I'll do that with my kids tomorrow.

  4. Let me know if they enjoy it! I have been wrapping the shapes a few times a day since I introduced the activity.
