To a T

For the letter T we painted with toothbrushes and made a tree from our forearm and hand.  The leaves are tissue paper.  When we made our trees, the trees in our front yards stated to bud.  Mister noticed that the tissue paper looked like buds on the tree.  I love the connections that they make between what we are learning and real life because I know they are really learning and thinking not just doing.

R and S

Letter R - Rainbow and Rocket Ship

We danced to Rocket Ship Run and Adventures in Space.

Keep this project away from your dog.  Every so often I would hear munching coming from the learning room.  The dog was eating the macaroni.
I drew the outline for each shape and had Mister and Ladybug mach the shape cut-outs to each drawn shape.  We used tissue paper to make the fire.

Back to Letters We Go

Did I mention that I have a tendency to start things and never finish them?  That's probably why I have about 7 projects going on at any given time.  I told my husband that I am not allowed to start any more projects until I have finished at least four...that was two weeks ago.

Anyway I have been sitting on these letter posts for a long time.  Like almost everything, I started something and haven't finished.  I have been including them on our shelves, but aside from the letter trays they are my least favorite activity.  So, I am going to included all the letter activities we have done up until now.

Letter Trays

For every new letter, I put together a letter tray.  It is one of Mister and Ladybug's favorite activities.  For each object there is a matching picture and the name of the object below the picture.  The tray includes sandpaper letters from Etsy.  I purchased the mini sandpaper letters and numbers, which have been perfect for their small hands.
