Kidnoculars - A Review

Behind our house is a small pond that attracts a whole new world of wild life.  Mister has written to Sea World to ask for an orca, but in the mean time we have been bird hunting.  They spend a great deal of time looking out the window at all the birds that visit our pond.  To encourage their love for the pond, the Easter Bunny brought a pair of binoculars for each kiddo.

Before the bunny found the binoculars she spent a lot of time researching which pair to get.  I needed something:

  • durable because things get dropped all the time
  • auto focus
  • large enough to hold
  • preferably large eye holes

The only pair that came close were the Geosafari Jr. Kidnoculars.  They are durable and easy to see through with auto focus.  I think they are a great pair for a young preschooler to practice looking through binoculars.  Also, it creates a whole level of excitement that a pair of toilet paper rolls don't match.  If you are looking for something that really magnifies long distances, then these aren't for you.

Dropping the Ball

Do you know that awkward greeting when you've been meaning to talk to somebody for a long time and you keep putting it off?  Maybe time escaped you and then you kept putting off the shifty eyes and that bumbling, "Hey.."     Yeah, I know the feeling - Hey.

I would love to tell you that I rode off into the sunset, wine in hand, angelic kids signing sweet songs off to the tropics.  That's not what happened.  We are still in the tundra, but made the BIG move five minutes from our old house.  No more babies sleeping in the closet and no more Learning Room.

We had a baby.  Our sweet June Bug was born on June 19th to complete our family.  Mister was not impressed with another sister, but he really is the best big brother to three sisters.

Is she not the sweetest?

We are officially in crazy town putting our house on the market a month after June Bug was born, two in kindergarten, one in preschool, one in diapers and moving an entire house less than a week before Thanksgiving.  Now that I've started to regain my sanity, I'm ready to get back to some of the things I love and try new things.
