Here are the first set of activities on our shelves.
Math

| Sight word sentences. When I presented this I made them aware of the capital letter at the beginning as a clue for the first word and the period at the end to send the sentence. |

| Nonfiction reading - I separated the books into fiction (in the book sling) and nonfiction on the shelves. |

How do you know what letters to put on the cubes so it all works out?
ReplyDeleteI keep a list of all the word families we have talked about so I can do a quick glance at the letters that cross over.
ReplyDeleteHowever, in this activity there are letters that don't make a word. We discussed that even if you have a consonant, vowel, consonant it may not be a word. If letters came up that didn't make a word they would say, "Not a word!"
This was a good activity for Mister to isolate the sounds and then push together the sounds together. He has a tendancy to put a "t" on the end of every CVC word.
You are so awesome. I probably love you even more since you and I seem to be on the same wavelength. I am planning to do weather and money this month too (although I'm way less organized than you). Thank goodness you do half the work for me and have it all planned out already!
